Dog training is more about training the dog owner than it is training the dog.  It is important that the proper relationship is established so that the dog understands “who is boss” at a very early stage of the relationship.  Only then can the dog owner gain the respect needed from his dog to maintain his dog’s focus to create teaching moments.
